Man it's been a while. Looks like Big Bad really is back. I don't know about everyone else, but I think the beat is actually on point. Much like a rise from the grave (considering everyone thought you were gone for good). Stay on top Lej. Welcome back!

Lejin responds:

Like Batman rises? hmm...

Pretty awesome Stumble Upon

So I heard this song in an animation that made the first page. the animation was okay, but I was quite interested in the music they used. The transitions are awesome and it has a very epic feel to it. The song loops around so perfectly that I hadn't even noticed that it ended till I looked up from my review. This song needs nothing else, if only even MORE lovin. Great job!

Pirates of the Caribbean inspired?

You are right, this song doesn't waste time in moving along. Though, it sounds more like its made for a short adventure for a newly doned warrior--not for an epic tale such as the Iliad. It has just the right amount of energy however.

Thanks for the review!

Got keep moving. Gotta keep the swagga

I honestly have to say I am really digging this beat! Just the right amount of movement and action. I honestly wish I could say more! The end was a nice drop off too. Classic r&b. --I really like that short Insert of the trumpet ever once and a while. Great job, I wanna here more of your stuff :D

Crueltool responds:

Thanks man. Ready to split on it some word...
MC needing))))

At first I didn't know what to expect, then BAM!

I like this piece much better. It's very unexpected and I love how the guitar cuts in, GREAT job!

This feels a bit soft for Heavy Metal.

Although as a whole I think its an okay piece that I'd like to see what you do with in the future, I feel its a bit too soft. In the beginning the cymbals aren't sharp enough, if you know what I meant? Also in the end, around 1:05, the guitar gets waaaayyyy ttooo soft. It's almost like a fader came on, but didn't finish? Really wanna see what you can do with this later!

FourteenSouth responds:

The fade towards the end had something to do with the mastering plug-ins I was using. I didn't notice it until I uploaded it to NG. But, it's just a rough track so I'm not terribly worried about it for the time being. It's nice to have someone on here who actually gives REAL constructive criticism, by the way.

A good start for House.

First, lets nip this in the butt. Everyone has to start somewhere, but you should treat every piece that you submit on newgrounds, even if you just through it together, like its a finished work. you'll be taken more seriously and be given better advice and a better review. What is a reviewer supposed to say to "just screwing around"? "Nice try?" "can't wait to see a real piece from you?" No, if you want to get better, post something that YOU think is worth while and everyone else will think its worth while too. Have more confidence in what your doing, even if you aren't familiar with it.

NOW for the review. I think this is a really nice piece and a nice step towards House music. Being an ex-drummer, I definitely like the use of percussion. I do think that the effects could be a bit stronger, just a teeny bit. Pump it up! This also loops pretty well. Though one more thing I would like to hear is more of the battling that was goin on in the first 20/25 seconds.

Very Climatic! A note straight from FF music!

Having played as man role-playing games, Final Fantasy being my favorite and probably some of the best music produced for it in the industry, I like that I can feel a story being told by your music. Pushing, pressing on. Some people don't take well to their music being compared to FF, but please do. I hear a dungeon coming on. Though to be a bit nick picky, I don't know if you intended for this to loop for any reason, but the ending might be a bit too strong, or slightly off from the beginning. Other than that, I can see this going in well with a game on newgrounds. Keep up with the good work!

The upbeat tune totally reminds me of a sugar rush

The beginning fade, I am not a huge fan of, but I did thoroughly enjoy the rest of the song. The zooming in and out seems to come and go just a bit too fast, perhaps? Though, I can see what you might have been trying to do. NO sugar rush starts off immediately, it always builds up and then you are GONE! Followed by the crash at the end--nothing worse than a sugar crash.

Daydream-Anatomy responds:

I'm glad I got the sugar part right;3

Thanks for the review^^

I'm thinking about editing the intro.

KNUCKLES

Got the beats down and as usual they can't deny shit. ;P Keep it Boss, Lejin.
